So it turns out eggs are actually good for you!  All of the mumbo jumbo we’ve heard over the years was untrue, eggs are a healthy choice.  Eating the whole egg is vital because the goodness is mostly found in the yolk; which contains 90 percent of the calcium and iron supplied and the white contains almost half of the egg’s protein.  We all should be eating more eggs and here’s 3 reasons.

Vitamins and Minerals.

One egg contains vitamins that are essential to your health like Vitamin B12, B2, A and E. Eggs are also jam packed with iron, zinc and phosphorus; which are vital minerals that your body needs.

Weight loss

Eggs keep you feeling fuller longer because they are considered to be a high quality protein so you end up eating less throughout the day.  One medium sized egg contains about 75 calories and 6 grams of protein, so eating a 3-egg omelette in the morning can keep you full until lunch.

Prevent breast cancer

Research studies have shown that eating at least six eggs per week lowered the risk of breast cancer by 44 percent compared to women who ate less.  Choline; which is contained within the yolk, reduces the risk of breast cancer and one egg contains about 125 milligrams, about a quarter of the daily recommendation.
